Steve keeps the shop up to date, taking photos and listing items, dealing with packing and orders. I like my tea strong, 1 sugar, biscuits if you have them :)

I force Steve to keep it real, switch off and enjoy the surroundings. Also fond of biscuits -- of any kind.

Frequently asked questions

How are parcels shipped?

All orders are prepared and packed as they come in and are dropped off for shipment, usually the next working morning.

All parcels are sent via the Happy Post parcel service providing proof of postage, insurance, and tracking. This service utilises the Mondial Relais to the appropriate airfreight terminal or, indeed , across Europe. The parcels are handled by local carriers once they land in the destination country, eg, USPS or DHL for the US, Hermes for UK.

To facilitate delivery and customs clearance, we ask that you provide a telephone number.

Can I have a shipping quote to ... ?

We are currently offering free shipping on the majority of items, the price includes the shipping fee. If you are looking to purchase more than one item and their shipping can be combined, please get in touch and we will be happy to provide a quote.

When will my package arrive?

For international orders, typically 5-10 business days, there may be delays due to customs clearance, but the tracking information will keep you updated with your parcel's progress. With the current Covid epidemic there may be delays due to reduced capacity at parcel hubs and fewer flights.

Will you accept … for an item?

We love a good haggle when buying items so I guess we should expect to have some negotiations on sales! So, by all means, makes us an offer, but don’t be offended if we don’t accept it or come back with higher suggestion.

I won’t be able to sign for my parcel, what will happen?

Normally, in this situation, the postal service will attempt a delivery and leave a card informing you of a failed delivery and where the parcel can be picked up from. You can then collect it at a later time. If you are not going to be there for a while, you can make arrangements with your local post office to hold your deliveries there until a specified date or until you collect. You can also make local arrangements for a parcel to be left with a neighbor.

Can I reserve an item or pay in installments?

Sure, get in touch with us via the contact button and we’ll make arrangements. In general, if you would like something set aside for a few days or ‘until the weekend’ we can do that straight away, for anything longer we ask for a non-refundable deposit of up to 25% of the total value (item & shipping) and will then hold the item for you for up to three months.

Could you falsify the customs declaration to save me some money?

No.

Are you a registered business?

Of course we are!
We're registered with the French authorities, our registration / SIREN No. is 810 426 155
